Outreach and Job Requests

Jobsite Request Forms for Bobcat Build 2011

  • The 2011 Bobcat Build Jobsite Request Forms will be avaiable December 1, 2010

What is Outreach?

Outreach is a committee of Bobcat Build. Our committee works exclusively with the San Marcos community to locate potential jobsites and evaluate them to prepare for Bobcat Build. Our goal is to find fewer, more meaningful jobsites and to build relationships and tradition between Texas State students and the San Marcos community. Outreach is perfect for networking with city leaders and meeting students who appreciate this beautiful city in which we live.

What do volunteers do?

Paint, mulch, plant flowers, rake leaves, prune trees and bushes, wash windows, neighborhood clean up, can food drive, river clean up, and volunteer at community projects.

To become a jobsite, you must turn in the Jobsite Request form starting on January 1, 2010.

Requirements for jobsites:

  • Within San Marcos city limits.
  • Outside beautification only.
  • Must agree to the terms of the jobsite evaluation form and risk assessment.
  • Jobsite must have a minimum of 10 volunteers.
  • Water, first aid kid, parking, and a restroom must be available for volunteers. Food is not required, but recommended.
  • Contact person must be present the day of Bobcat Build.
  • No power tools.
